[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. We're gonna go ahead and get into the book club. Prospects of fame real quick. Grant Michaels, you did your big one with this. I talked to Grant on the phone. He said, this one, the second book is better than the first. But we had to start with the first. So we started with the first. It's about a young lady named Fame who. She's just. She's about to graduate from high school. And early on, she comes from a family, a long lineage of women who have been able to use their womenly ways to get their way. Oh, yes. So early on in the book, her great grandmother actually came over here from another country and had kids. And they ended up living with a pastor who was married. And she came home one day and the pastor was raping her daughter, one of her daughters. And so she watched it, left out, went across the street, got a witness, came back, cut. Cut the pastor's penis off. Told him, you're gonna leave your wife. Because if you don't leave your wife, I'm gonna tell her what you did. And then you're gonna marry me and you're gonna take care of my kids. Me and my kids. Or I'm gonna tell everybody. Only to find out that the wife who said she was on a trip when all of this happened, was actually down the street with Deacon Jones getting it on at the hotel. Yes, ma'. Am. So that started the basis for her family. And then her dad, his name is Big Vic, he's actually the head of a crime syndicate. And his wife, who was his. Her mom is the captain of the police department, is all set in Columbia, South Carolina. And you'll appreciate this. The name of the high school she graduated from was Ali E. Brooks High School. So you already know who. What. Grant Michaels is an alum. You already know what school Grant Michaels is an alumni of. Grant. So she ends up. There's this girl, was her best friend, Ro. Ro ends up about a year or two ago, ends up getting pregnant by Fame's boyfriend, famous boyfriend at the time. Kel cheats on her with Roe. And so at the end of the year, they're about to graduate. Fame sets up Roe to get in this big fight and sets up Roe to get arrested by her mom. Her mom, they go home, mom spazzes out on her. I'm the. I'm the chief. And this, that, and the third. And how you gonna do this to me? And you're embarrassing. And she's killing Fame. And she's like, I let Ro go. And. Because I noticed with Some bs. And Fame is actually a track star who's got a full ride to Miami, okay? Her boyfriend is one of the top receivers in the country. Called him. His name is Mac. Mac comes over to the house after the fight. He's pissed. This somehow turns Fame on, and they start having sex in the kitchen on her mom's island. In the kitchen. Now, as high school students, had I not. Had I not worked at a high school, I would say this is unbelievable, right? But being that I work in a high school. [00:03:49] Speaker B: Listen, y', all, if you don't know. [00:03:51] Speaker A: What your child is doing, let me tell you. Understand? [00:03:54] Speaker B: They doing it. They doing. [00:03:58] Speaker A: It's stairwells, bathrooms everywhere. They don't care. [00:04:02] Speaker B: They don't care where they get it in. Ants. [00:04:04] Speaker A: So her sister comes down. Cece comes down, bust her right before she climaxes. And the dad comes in right before, right after. They kind of fix themselves up and put some pizza on the island. It's dinner time. The Chinese food, dinner time. [00:04:25] Speaker B: So nasty. Freaky frog. [00:04:27] Speaker A: Her sister goes. So Matt leaves. Her sister goes. And Fame and the dad kind of gets into it. Her sister, Sister tells the dad, fame, need to clean that up. She spilled some kind of milk on the counter. [00:04:53] Speaker B: That is messy. That's so messy. [00:05:02] Speaker A: So the dad makes CeCe clean it up. He's like, I don't even live here. Why am I cleaning this up? So cece cleans it up, goes upstairs. Her and Fame have a discussion. Later that night, though, it goes down. So Famous pissed with her mom, her mom, her getting in a fight. Fame ends up. She decides to surprise her boyfriend Mac with a threesome. Apparently, she met this Egyptian girl in Atlanta who lives in Greenville, and Egyptian girls like, yeah, nah, I've been trying to hit that for a minute. So if I gotta take. Take care of your man. I'll take care of your man. Just to get. Just to get with you. [00:05:46] Speaker B: Wait a minute. [00:05:48] Speaker A: Now it gets spicy. Cause now they at the hotel, they rolled up some blunts. They drinking. So now a girl looking at Fame like, I've been wanting you if your boyfriend come or not. And then the boyfriend knocks on the door. Mac knocks on the door. He comes in. Guess what? [00:06:05] Speaker B: What? [00:06:06] Speaker A: MacDonald brought a girl with him for the threesome with the girl. So now it's four of them in there. [00:06:11] Speaker B: It's four people in there now. It stink. [00:06:17] Speaker A: So that's four of them in the room. Fame is mad at Mac, Mad. The chick he brought with her, like, yo, where you come from? Mac is like, but you brought me Somebody, so why is you mad? And then of the chick that Mac brought is like, wait, hold on now. I ain't coming for all of this. I thought it was going to be your girl. So the Egyptian girl, she apparently is fine as hell. She's like, oh, I like you. I want to eat you right now. Oh, girls like, let's make it happen. And then a foursome happens. And this is, this is a chat. These are kids. These people just graduated high school. Matter of fact, graduation is the next morning. And they gets down for the night, they take it from the bed to the shower. And it's extremely graphic. For those that want to read the book, it is chapter four. For those that reading the book, it is chapter four. It is extremely graphic. It is more graphic than a porno. You understand me? My boy, Grant Michaels. Now here's the thing. Had I not know it was high school kids, my mind would have went someplace else, right? But it was high school kids, so I kind of had to go. [00:07:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Cause that boy. [00:07:40] Speaker A: Where they going? Six, seven, six, seven. I don't know. [00:07:42] Speaker B: You're right. [00:07:42] Speaker A: I don't even know what that mean. So I googled it anyway. So it goes, it shifts from that. They wake up the next morning, they go to graduation, it shifts from that to the dad, he's at some poker game. And apparently everybody in the syndicate are trying to get out because it's judges, high ranking officers, business owners, and everybody's got that going. And there's a guy whose wife is dying from cancer and they call him Big Vic. Big Vic won't help him. Cause he's like, yo, you, you. I told you when I. I told you, I'm gonna call you. Don't come, don't come to me. I'm gonna call you. Matter of fact, I'm gonna call you in two days. Now, mind you, this dude, this dude wife about to die and Big Vic like, nah, I'll get to it. So anyway, so then it shifts a couple months down the road to fame. And her friend Tanya is living in Miami now. Her brother JJ works for. Now, Grant, I love you. But he. You could tell the timeframe in which the book was written because Braylon James and D paid play for the Miami Flames. So I was like, one on one is two on this one. So she goes to an NBA party. Her and her friend Tanya, they show up to the party. Tanya says, I come to get a 6, 7 nigga. And she finds her a 6, 10 nigga, okay? Fame, ex, boyfriend Kel, who got Ro Pregnant is there. And her older brother, he's like, yo, I just want to talk. You don't know what happened, blah blah. Cause he been on the run because apparently he murdered somebody. So. Oh, girl. Tanya ends up on the patio with Fame and this dude, this big dude that play for the Flames. And she is like zooted. Like she's gone. But apparently Tanya's moms was on drugs real bad. So Fame was like, yo, I know she don't do drugs, so what the fuck is up with her? But dude is like, nah, she good, she good. But Fame got so much other shit going on. She dealing with her own shit. Her ex boyfriend Kel, her brother left her. Some dude from the Flames tried to approach her. She need him in the nuts. They in the club. It's so much going on that she can't focus on her friend, right? So she ends up talking to Kel brother Lucky. And Lucky's like, hey, I want you to come to this meeting tomorrow so that you can help me get Kell out the game. At the same time, 6 10N takes Tania Tanya to his hotel room with three other niggas from the basketball team and another chick who zooted off of what they call Rohypnol. And they raped the two of them repeatedly. Like pass called other niggas to come through. But the whole time that's happening, Famous with Fame is with Kel. They went to some indisclosed location joint and had dinner at 4 in the morning. And so she as she's on the way back, oh, girl, Tanya gets away, takes somebody phone, goes in the bathroom, calls Fame and is like, yo, I need you to come get me. I'm at this hotel, I heard somebody say it's room like 13, 16, 31 or something like that. Here's where it gets a little bit off. Fame didn't want Kel to know where she lived. Kel has a brand new Lamborghini. Fame says, let me take your Lambo. I'll drop you off and then I'll drive myself to my house. I don't know no nigga on this planet that's going to let a woman just take his Lamborghini and that don't know how to drive a Lamborghini, you right. But I digress. The book is good. So she ends up going to go and drive home. Old girl calls her, she like, fuck, I'mma go to pick her up. And the hotel that they're at, where they got Tanya at is this big time hotel that always got paparazzi outside. So she act like she crying. Pulls up and says, my husband in here cheating with a man. That's what fame does. Has a little bag over her face. So all the paparazzi starts. I'm about to go catch him right now. All the paparazzi follow her. They go up the elevator, they knock on the door. She moves out the way of the peephole. And then she comes back in with the bag, with the bag over her face. And all they can see is her body. Because apparently, according to the book Famous stat, fame's a track star. She got track body, right? Door opens, paparazzi flood. When they flood, one of the NBA got one, the girl that's high as sucking his dick. Other one, they bust the door open to the bathroom because she looking for Tanya. She bust the door open. Tanya is getting ran, like raped by this in the bathroom. And they just sitting there taking pictures, taking pictures, taking pictures. She snatched Tanya out of there. Hall's ass leaves out and leaves the paparazzi in there. And then the. And then the next morning, remember, she left with Kel. She done took pictures with D Paid. She done took pictures with Braylon James. And they had a picture of D paid of her kissing DP on the. On the cheek. Yeah, her boyfriend is at. Her boyfriend is at. Her boyfriend is. Is at a school. He's a big time wide receiver, his homeboy. See the picture her kissing DP and is like, yo, your girl that. And they start dragging him right before the game. He calls her when he get on the bus, yo, what the is you doing? You stupid. But she done had to go through all that the night before. Plus her friend got raped. So it's the next morning and she like, look, I ain't even got time to deal with you in this shit right now. Just you go play your game. We could talk about this after he's killing you.
